Address: 449 Jarvis Street
Neighbourhood: Downtown/the Village
website,
Nestled on the historic street of Jarvis, steps away from Yonge Street and the Village, shines one of the longest historic building first established 1891. Designed by Knox & Elliot, housed the second Premier of Ontario the Honourable Edward Blake. (For my American friends - it's equivalent to Governors)
With a Front Patio, and ample choices for Brunch I was glad to get back to my old stomping grounds.
The Basics
Coffee: Imperial
Blend: House
Machine: Saeco
Verdict: Coffee was decent, what you'd expect at a Bar/Restaurant. Freshly brewed was a bonus.
The Food: Eggs Benedict
*Great hollandaise sauce, not sure if it's from scratch but it's velvety smooth. The Hash browns is cooked to a golden brown even consistency. One of the top locations this year for great potato sides. Fresh Fruit is served as a side to meld the modestly salted peameal bacon. What you'd expect from "Canadian Bacon". Delicious.
Would I come back for more: Definitely. Especially for the nice patio, but beware of wasps....
HAPPY ESPRESSO ADVENTURES
